24 vehicles, including motorbikes and cars, whose riders and drivers in Dubai were causing mayhem and performing stunts in Al Ruwayyah, have been seized by Dubai Police.
The director of Dubai Police’s General Department of Traffic, Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, stated that some drivers continue to act recklessly and in a chaotic manner despite the forceful reminders from Dubai Police about the importance of adhering to traffic laws and regulations, particularly in the rainy season.
According to Al Mazroui, the Decree No. (30) of 2023 about traffic values and vehicle impoundment resulted in the impoundment of 19 cars and 5 motorcycles. He went on to say that the decision forbids the release of the seized car without paying a Dh50,000 fee.
He verified that 35 traffic infractions against drivers who performed stunts in the rainy weather had been issued by Dubai Police traffic patrols.
Al Mazroui also brought up the fact that the impounded automobiles and motorcycles had been involved in a number of infractions that made their seizure necessary, such as performing stunts, driving carelessly and endangering the public’s safety, making loud noises, and sticking one’s head out of a moving vehicle.
Al Mazroui issued a warning against careless and rash driving on public highways, emphasizing that such behavior is strongly punished by the law and endangers lives as well as the safety and security of other road users and drivers. He emphasized that there are serious repercussions for driving in a way that endangers either private or public infrastructure.
