A Company is Fined Dhs 10 Million by an Abu Dhabi Court for Fraudulently Recruiting 113 Citizens

A private company that violated the standards and controls of the decisions, which regulated Emiratization in private sector companies, and circumvented the achievement of Emiratization targets by recruiting 113 citizens fictitiously was fined Dhs10 million by the Abu Dhabi Misdemeanour Court.

The company violated fictitious emiratizations and was non-compliant with the policies of employing national cadres in the private sector in accordance with the “Nafis” program, which offers benefits and privileges aimed at enhancing citizens’ participation in work in private companies. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (Mohre) monitored the company’s serious violations regarding emiratization procedures and referred the company to the Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution to investigate the incident.

To circumvent the law and ministerial decisions governing the achievement of the targeted percentage of citizens’ employment in the private sector, investigations revealed that the company had issued work permits for employees and registered them under the company without real employment. The Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution ordered the violating company to be referred to the appropriate court, which found the company guilty based on the investigation’s findings.
