The National Testing Agency conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) for over 24 lakh candidates at 4750 different centres located in 571 cities across the nation, including 14 cities outside of India, on May 5, 2024 (Sunday), from 2:00 PM to 05:20 PM (IST), according to an official release from the NTA.

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Under Graduate (NEET-UG) 2024 exam was held on May 5, but the Supreme Court refused to cancel it on July 23. The court reasoned that there was no systemic breach in the exam, which led to the revision of the results.
A bench that included Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra stated that, as of right now, there isn’t enough evidence in the file to conclude that the exam’s outcome was tainted or that there was a systematic violation.
