Dubai Works Together with South Korea on Flying Cars and Driverless Vehicles.

On Tuesday, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and the Seoul Metropolitan Government signed an agreement to expand their collaboration on flying cars and autonomous vehicles.

The MOU (memorandum of understanding) will also facilitate the exchange of ideas on environmentally friendly transport solutions, with a particular emphasis on electric and hydrogen bus fleets and the development of infrastructure for electric and hydrogen fuel stations.

Mattar Al Tayer, RTA director general and chairman of the Board of Executive Directors, stated, “the two sides share many strategic objectives and can exchange best practices in the field of planning and operating passenger transport services, particularly public transport buses.”

We anticipate that the outcomes of the pilot projects for future mobility will benefit both cities. These projects will include cutting-edge innovations such as Urban Air Mobility (UAM) and self-driving vehicles. Our goal is to promote robust technology transfer and extensive knowledge exchange. The mayor of Seoul, South Korea, also cordially invited the RTA to attend the upcoming Seoul Smart Life Week, which will take place from October 10 to 12 in Seoul.
