President Sheikh Mohamed Celebrates Eid by Sharing a Family Photo.

On the first day of the Islamic celebration on Wednesday, President Sheikh Mohamed celebrated Eid Al Fitr as “an occasion to be cherished and enjoyed” while sharing a happy family photo.

In a positive social media post, the UAE leader emphasized the value of spending time with loved ones over the holidays. On Instagram, he shared a photo of himself sitting with his grandchildren at the Sea Palace in Abu Dhabi.

In the tweet, Sheikh Mohamed wished “my sincere best wishes to everyone celebrating Eid Al Fitr and those spending precious time with family, friends, and loved ones.” The message has received over 75,000 likes on the social media network.

Sheikh Mohamed joined worshippers at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi to lead Eid Al Fitr prayers earlier. The director general of the Fatwa Council, Dr. Omar Al Darei, emphasized the value of family ties throughout the sermon. Sheikh Mohamed greeted attendees after the prayer and then went to the tomb of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the late founder of the UAE. The Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, also offered prayers at the mosque.
