The G7 Summit’s artificial intelligence and energy session, with the theme “Energy and Artificial Intelligence/Africa and the Mediterranean Region,” was attended on Friday by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed.
Giorgia Meloni, the prime minister of Italy, which is hosting the summit this year, opened the meeting.
According to Sheikh Mohamed, the Middle East and Africa are particularly affected by the many difficulties the world is currently facing, particularly in the energy sector. He emphasized the need of teamwork and collaboration in tackling these issues by utilizing cutting-edge technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to provide sustainable energy sector solutions.
Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE’s desire to create an integrated artificial intelligence system through policies, laws, partnerships, and programs. According to him, this advances efforts to apply these technologies in order to find workable answers for energy sustainability, guarantee energy security, and accomplish sustainable social and economic development. Additionally, it is in favor of a just and equitable transition in the energy sector that builds upon the UAE Consensus, a model of successful international cooperation.
The president of the United Arab Emirates expressed the hope that this significant gathering would set the stage for a new phase of coordinated action that would guarantee responsible interaction with emerging technologies. By working together, we can ensure that these technologies don’t exacerbate global polarization or widen the developmental divide between countries, but rather act as a bridge towards universal prosperity, security, and sustainable development.
