Watch: A Driver in the UAE Causes an Accident While Crossing a Junction Dangerously

The Abu Dhabi Police posted a video on social media on Friday showing accidents and infractions resulting from cars recklessly navigating the crossroads triangle in the UAE capital.

The authorities emphasized the risks associated with abrupt deviations and avoiding restricted lines.

The police-released video shows an SUV slicing right across two lanes of traffic on the highway, dangerously close to oncoming traffic, then crossing the intersection to take an exit.

A sedan is seen in the same video leaving a stiff shoulder and attempting to cross the junction dangerously from the left before colliding with another vehicle.

In the same video, a large truck is seen recklessly leaving a stiff shoulder and entering the junction from the left. Luckily, the approaching vehicles veer to the side and stop, averting what may have been a terrible multi-vehicle crash.

In the fourth segment, an SUV is seen leaving the highway and making a risky right-hand turn across the intersection, endangering the lives of onlookers and other drivers.

The penalty for incorrect overtaking begins at Dh600 and can reach Dh1,000, depending on the offense. Sudden deviation is a significant traffic violation with a Dh1,000 fine and four black points.
