UAE Welcomes 17th Group of Palestinian Children with Cancer Who are Injured

In accordance with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s orders, the 17th group of injured Palestinian children and cancer patients arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Thursday. The purpose of their visit was to treat 1,000 injured children and 1,000 cancer patients from the Gaza Strip at the UAE’s hospitals.

After taking off from Egypt’s Al Arish International Airport, the aircraft touched down at Zayed International Airport with a group of children and cancer patients who, along with their families, were in critical need of medical attention.

Medical teams arrived on the scene and moved injured patients and those requiring emergency care quickly to hospitals, taking other patients and their companions to the Emirates Humanitarian City.

The best medical care is offered to cancer patients and injured patients in UAE hospitals. This initiative is a part of the ongoing efforts, undertaken at different levels by the UAE, to improve the response to the humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip and to offer relief to the Palestinian people, who are brothers.

Since the start of the crisis, the UAE has acted quickly to send the Gaza Strip critical humanitarian and relief aid. These actions represent a continuation of the UAE’s efforts to lessen the negative effects of the worsening humanitarian crisis and to accelerate and coordinate efforts to relieve the suffering of civilians in the Gaza Strip.
