UAE Visitation visa Holders Ought to be Permitted to Work, According to a Top Official

A high-ranking official has outlined the advantages of permitting visitors visa to work lawfully in the United Arab Emirates. In this case, employers might lawfully hire visitors by establishing a work permit and other requirements.

It is now forbidden to work while in the United Arab Emirates on a visitation visa. Businesses that hire tourists risk heavy fines and other sanctions. Before an employee begins working for an organization, the employer must get a work permit and an employment visa.

The advocate general and head of the Naturalization and Residency Prosecution, Dr. Ali Humaid bin Khatem, stated that lawfully permitting businesses to employ guests will foster a win-win situation. Earlier this week, he proposed the idea during the Entrepreneurship Makers Forum in Al Khawaneej, organized by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai.

Visit or tourist entry permit/visa does not give you the right to work in the UAE. Any business found to be hiring someone on a visitation visa faces a Dh50,000 fine per individual, he warned. “Never start off wrong—these laws and regulations aim to protect employees and business owners.”
