UAE: This region of the country saw a record low temperature of 6.6ºC.

You could wonder, where did the temperature drop to this level. It’s none other than one of the nation’s most popular mountain ranges.

Jebel Jais, you are correct in saying that! According to the National Centre of Meteorology, the mountains in Ras Al Khaimah reported a temperature of 6.6ºC at 6am earlier today.

Raknah, at 7.3oC, Mebreh Mountain, at 8.9oC, Jabal Al Rahba, at 9.2oC, and Damtha, at 10.2oC, were among the other parts of the nation that adopted a similar temperature.

Jebel Jais, which is well-known for its gorgeous vistas and agreeable weather, has grown to be a locals’ favorite winter destination. This time, colder temperatures are being recorded before the formal winter season, which experts say will start after December 21, has even officially begun.

The breathtaking site also includes “Jebel Jais ziplines” and “Toboggan ride” for thrill-seekers, albeit the hours of these activities have changed as winter approaches.

Weekends are ideal for outdoor enthusiasts to visit the mountains while enjoying a hot cup of karak chai, or for foodies to enjoy a BBQ. Or simply a justification to stow away your mouthful of fog and pull on a warm jacket. Whatever your passion, don’t forget to enjoy the refreshing winter air.
