UAE rains: A number flights redirected, cancelled because of Bad Weather

Five incoming flights to DXB was used overnight, while 9 arrivals and four departures were cancelled,” a Dubai Airports spokesperson has confirmed to News Times.

“Guests leaving from Dubai’s airports are advised to allocate more time for their journey to the airport, as traffic jams may be anticipated. We strongly suggest the application of the Dubai Metro to get to DXB Terminals 1 and 3 wherever possible,” the airport spokesperson added.

Emirates cancelled multiple flights across the UAE on Thursday due to adverse weather conditions. Additionally, flight operations at Dubai International Airport (DXB) have been scaled back. Emirates said, “Customers traveling to or from Dubai airport on May 2 should anticipate delays as flights are being rescheduled.

A spokesperson from flydubai confirmed to Times that the adverse weather conditions in Dubai on Thursday (May 2) have led to delays in their operations.

The spokesperson advised passengers to allocate additional time for their journey to DXB, whether traveling by car or public transport. Additionally, passengers were encouraged to update their contact details via the manage booking tab and to regularly check the flydubai website for the latest updates regarding their flight.
