The Teaching Specialists Program was introduced by the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE), the Ministry of Education (MoE), and the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis). It provides specialized training and bridging programs necessary for Emirati job seekers in the labor market, along with professional accreditation opportunities that aim to qualify nationals to work in the private education sector. Starting in 2024, the program seeks to hire 1,000 Emiratis annually in the education sector. Over the next four years, the goal is to hire 4,000 Emiratis.
The program aims to provide UAE nationals with the information and abilities needed to function in teaching and administrative roles. Administrative occupations are included in the four phases of the Teaching Specialists Program.
With a bachelor’s degree in education, the program targets Emirati job seekers registered on the Nafis platform for teaching and school-related professions. Those with a high school degree are targeted for administrative and assistant roles. Those interested in participating in the program can register on the Nafis site. It is anticipated that the program will be crucial in helping private schools meet their annual goals for Emiratization by helping to arrange job contracts with program participants or through the Studying Citizen job Contract.
“We focus on the education sector today, a sector that is crucial in nurturing future generations and providing them with the knowledge and understanding that enables them to actively contribute to building the Emirati economy,” stated Ghannam Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council.
