In order to protect pilgrims, their families, and the general public from infectious diseases, it is imperative that all necessary vaccines, including the flu shot, be taken It’s also crucial to adhere to all rules and safety measures when making travel arrangements for the Umrah and Hajj.

As of March 26, 2024, flu vaccination cards will be required for Umrah and Hajj travelers. The Ministry highly suggests that people with chronic illnesses, mainly, contact a health center before travel.

Both public and private health facilities provide vaccinations. This action is a component of the Ministry’s all-encompassing plan to control and stop the spread of contagious and infectious diseases.

Vaccinations should be taken at least ten days before departure to guarantee optimal efficiency and adequate immunity for prevention.

Individuals who suffer from chronic illnesses ought to speak with a physician to make sure that their health is stable enough for them to undertake the Hajj and Umrah.
