UAE: Mahzooz Intends "New Ventures" after The Game Receives the First Lottery L;icence

According to a statement released Sunday by the company’s managing operator, Ewings, the team behind the well-known Mahzooz is preparing “new ventures.” This follows UAE’s announcement that The Game LLC is the nation’s first lottery operator with a licence.

Ewings released a statement saying, “Although we have not been granted the national lottery licence in the UAE, we are planning exciting new ventures, and we look forward to sharing more details soon.

Following a government directive, Mahzooz and Emirates Draw both halted operations earlier this year. Both businesses verified to Times that they had finished the application procedure to become authorised operators in the United Arab Emirates.

According to the statement, EWINGS was recently notified through official channels that it has not been awarded the UAE’s first authorised lottery, following the industry-wide pause mandated on January 1st, 2024. “We respect the selection process and the government’s commitment to setting standards within the industry, even though this delayed decision is disappointing, especially since we kept our workforce operating at full capacity for the past seven months in anticipation of a positive decision.
