UAE Denounces Israeli Attack on World Central Kitchen Team During Gaza War

The World Central Kitchen team is a partner of the UAE in bolstering the humanitarian response to people in northern Gaza, and the UAE has strongly denounced the attack by Israeli forces on them.

Seven World Central Kitchen relief workers were murdered in an attack, forcing the nonprofit organization to halt the distribution of food aid to Gaza on Tuesday. As a result of Israel’s offensive, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are in danger of hunger in Gaza.

The UAE demanded an immediate, impartial, and open investigation as well as the punishment of individuals who had committed this horrible crime in violation of international humanitarian law, holding Israel solely accountable for this concerning development.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) released a statement on Tuesday in which it expressed its profound grief for the deaths, sent its heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the relatives of the victims and their nations, and wished the injured people a swift recovery.

The Ministry emphasized the crucial need for an instant ceasefire and the prohibition of attacking citizens, organizations, buildings, or aid organizations.

The Ministry further called for an immediate cease-fire in restricting humanitarian supplies, refraining from using food as a weapon, and protecting relief workers.
