UAE Announces a Two-day Increase in Online Course Time.

Most of the UAE nation will not have in-person courses on Thursday or Friday due to the extension of remote learning by the education authorities.

On Wednesday, the Department of Education and Knowledge in Abu Dhabi declared that all schools can use remote learning until April 18 and 19.

Additionally, “all private schools, nurseries, and universities must continue to offer distance learning on April 18 and 19,” according to a statement from Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority. This comes after the country’s government schools nationwide received the same verdict from the Emirates School Education Foundation.

Due to the unpredictable weather, all government schools were already ordered to switch to distance learning. The authorities put this decision into effect on Tuesday, April 16, and Wednesday, April 17.

In addition, Sharjah has extended remote learning for private schools until the conclusion of the four-day workweek. According to local government officials, pupils will continue to study remotely on Thursday, April 18, following two days of online instruction, to protect their safety.

Due to the most intense rains the nation has seen in 75 years, life has come to a complete standstill. As a result, schools in the United Arab Emirates have been instructed to offer remote learning until Wednesday, April 17. Authorities in other emirates have not yet decided whether to continue offering online courses.
