UAE: A 13-Year-Old Emirati Pianist Uses AI to Compose Music and Gives Hospital Performances

Rashid Walid Al Marzouqi, a talented pianist in the United Arab Emirates, combines artificial intelligence (AI) with traditional music at 13. The student at Rabdan School characterizes his continuous journey as one that is motivated by passion, devotion, and a desire to make other people happy.

This musical prodigy from Emirati is renowned for his avant-garde style. He created history in 2020 when he used artificial intelligence (AI) in his piano concerts, making him the youngest and first Emirati musician to do so.

For Rashid, music is more than simply a way to pass the time. Mainly while playing at medical facilities like Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and Sheikh Khalifa Medical Hospital, he plays with a profound empathy for people.” I realized that music has a healing effect on people, uplifting and cheering the spirit, soothing the heart, and even aiding in the healing process,” he remarked.
