Türkiye officially announced visa exemptions for six countries, including four GCC countries. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan issued a decision that exempted nations like Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, UAE, USA, and Canada from the mandatory requirement of a visa for visiting Turkiye.
The Turkish Official Gazette announced visa exemption for the holders of ordinary passports of the former countries. A diplomatic move towards strengthening relations between important players of world politics.
The new visa-free regime allows citizens of these countries to visit Türkiye for tourism purposes without the requirement to obtain a visa before traveling for a period of up to 90 days every 180 days. The decision can positively affect the tourism sector of Türkiye with an increase in the number of tourists to the country.
