The digital government of the United Arab Emirates has recognized various visa categories for foreign nationals, each granting them the right to live and work in the nation, subject to specific prerequisites and restrictions.

Whether the applicant is outside of the United Arab Emirates or within its borders, they can apply for any of these through the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP). They can also apply if they are retired, have a business there, are studying there, or want to bring their family to live with them.

The Golden Visa is the first kind of visa that grants its bearer permanent residency for some groups of foreign nationals, including top students. It permits the holder to work remotely or live in the United Arab Emirates.

The third type is a residence visa.

The second kind, the Blue Residence Visa, allows retired foreigners to live and work in the United Arab Emirates for ten years. It also allows students to study there and individuals who have made remarkable contributions to environmental protection to apply for a visa. The ICP’s services page enable qualified applicants to apply directly or nominate themselves through the nation’s competent authorities.

The fourth type is a residence visa for one year of remote work.

The fifth type of visa grants a 5-year residence for retired expatriates.

The sixth type is the Green Residence Visa for Business.

The seventh type is the Study Residence Visa, which enables students to reside in the UAE.

The eighth type of visa is the residence Visa for family members.
