The UAE Cabinet Approves 2,160 new Citizen Housing Projects Valued at Dhs1.68 Billion.

A new housing package for citizens worth Dhs1.682 billion was approved by the UAE Cabinet, which was presided over by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The package includes 2,160 decisions for those receiving housing assistance in June 2024 under the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program.

The Cabinet also approved the introduction of the “Manzili” bundle for Sheikh Zayed Housing Program recipients.

Through partnerships with 24 federal and local government agencies, this bundle provides residents with 18 housing services. Cutting the number of involved agencies from 11 to 1 and the number of documents needed from 10 to 2 also streamlines the customer experience and the paperwork required. There is a reduction in procedures from 14 steps to 3 and service fields from 32 to 5.

“We approved 2,160 new housing decisions for citizens under the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme valued at Dhs1.682 billion during the Cabinet meeting,” Sheikh Mohammed stated. Additionally, we approved a project to work with 24 government agencies to streamline and cut down on procedures within the program. As a result, there will be two instead of ten documents needed to approve a housing loan, simplifying the process. We express our gratitude to the groups working nonstop to reduce red tape, rework all government processes, make them easier to understand, and improve the lives of our people.
