The President of the UAE Launches a Campaign to Alleviate the World's Water Shortage.

In response to the pressing global issue of water scarcity, the President Mohamed Bin Zayed Water Initiative was introduced on Thursday by the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

To address the problems posed by the water scarcity situation, the effort seeks to raise awareness of its severity and quicken the pace of technical innovation. Extending the reach of global cooperation to tackle the crisis and promote investment for the benefit of present and future generations is another goal.

The initiative will be led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and vice-chaired by the Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak.

Faisal Abdulaziz Al Bannai, Secretary-General of the Advanced Technology Research Council; Abdulla Ahmed Balala, Assistant Minister of Energy and Sustainability Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; David Scott, Advisor to the Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority; and Ray Dalio, Founder of Bridgewater, are among the board members. Suhail Bin Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi, Minister of Investment; Amna Bint Abdullah Al Dahak Al Shamsi, Minister of Climate Change and the Environment; and Maryam Bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Al Mehairi, Head of the International Affairs Office at the Presidential Court
