The New Hernia Center at American Hospital Dubai is Expected to Revolutionize Regional Treatment Guidelines.

A state-of-the-art comprehensive hernia center solely focused on treating patients with hernias has launched at American Hospital Dubai. The Center seeks to be the first and foremost complete hernia treatment hub in the area by providing professional care, utilizing the newest technology, and combining experience in one location.

The Center will be the first in the area to repair large abdominal wall hernias using robotic abdominal wall reconstruction techniques. These techniques guarantee exceptional restoration of abdominal wall integrity and enhance patients’ quality of life. The Center will be led by American Board-certified surgeons with specialized expertise in hernia and abdominal wall reconstruction. A hernia is a weakening or opening in the abdominal wall that allows soft tissue to push through the muscles of the abdomen and take up space beneath.

The American Hospital Dubai Hernia Center prioritizes using the most recent research findings in its care and treatment plans. To enhance patient results, it works with doctors who specialize in orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, physical therapy, interventional radiology, rehab medicine, and clinical nutrition. Data is used to establish the optimal hernia treatment method.

“When we fix hernias, we strive to do it with the most advanced and minimally invasive techniques, including different robotic platforms and laparoscopic methods, to ensure a speedy recovery and a quick return to normalcy,” stated Dr. Hatem Moussa, chief of surgery and consultant general surgeon at American Hospital Dubai.
