The Activities of the UAE Food Bank Will Impact 18.6 Million People Globally in 2023.

Under the auspices of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, the UAE Food Bank released its annual statistics for 2023, showcasing noteworthy projects and programs that helped over 18.6 million people globally.

In 2023, 800 donors, including local and international organizations and food enterprises, contributed to the UAE Food Bank, which was founded with the intention of decreasing food waste and providing extra food to people in need. The bank conducted 105 awareness campaigns that year, employing 1,800 volunteers and around 9,843 participants.

Additionally, the UAE Food Bank’s annual report showed that it was awarded about Dhs14.7 million in funding and that keeping 6,000 tonnes of food out of landfills had a major beneficial environmental impact. In keeping with its objective of reducing food waste by thirty percent by the year 2027, these initiatives helped to reduce emissions and pollution in the environment related to food waste.
