Global Tech Enthusiasts Converge in Dubai for Early iPhone Reservations Amidst Cost Savings

Tech enthusiasts from various countries are flocking to Dubai to make an early reservation for the latest iPhone models via the official website starting at 4pm. Their intent is clear: to be among the pioneers in securing the newest iPhone iteration, regardless of the distance they must traverse.

Dubai’s lower taxation and prompt phone availability make it an attractive hub. A considerable number of these aficionados hail from countries like India, Pakistan, and parts of Europe, where the goal is to seize the phone at a more affordable rate.

In nations such as India and Pakistan, acquiring iPhones often means paying a hefty price, primarily due to taxation. Visitors from these locales highlighted that acquiring the iPhone Pro model can exceed costs of Dh1,000. “That’s a lot of money! Because of this, I have come to Dubai to prebook my iPhone because it can be cheaper here,” shared Abdul Badi from Hyderabad, India.

Badi’s agenda involves securing multiple devices, targeting three phones intended for his family members. “I hope I am able to book 3 or 4 pieces so that my other expenses like travel are balanced. Back in India, the demand is very high and it is doubtful of getting one,” Badi added.

Similarly, Ibrahim, a frequent Dubai visitor originally from Karachi stated, “I have been working in the UAE for the last 12 years and I am still a resident and often visit Dubai for business or leisure. This visit to Dubai is very special as I am hoping to get the new model on the first day of the delivery.”

He further mentioned, “Many of my friends and family members have also asked me to book them the new model.”

Meanwhile, a European tourist who landed in Dubai recently remarked, “There’s a big demand for iPhones in my country and I can get them at a relatively cheaper price here.”
