On Friday, the last day of the Dubai Airshow 2023, Tawazun Council, a government organization that closely collaborates with the UAE Ministry of Defense, inked ten agreements with domestic and foreign businesses totaling Dhs1.415 billion. With this, the Tawazun Council has now signed 54 deals totaling Dhs23.06 billion on behalf of the Ministry of Defense.
The statement was made at a news conference hosted by Chief Corporate Communication Officer Mona Ahmed Al Jaber and official spokesperson Zayed Saeed Al Meraikhi of the Tawazun Council.
On the fifth day of the Dubai Airshow 2023, Zayed Saeed Al Meraikhi said that the Tawazun Council, acting on behalf of the Ministry of Defense, had inked four contracts with local companies, valued at Dhs392 million. Bombs Body was purchased by “Lahab Defence Systems,” an Edge business, on a Dhs178 million contract. With “ADASI,” an Edge firm, a Dhs82 million contract was struck to offer Upgrade Services on Al Saber UAVs.
“We at Tawazun Council, take pride in the unwavering trust bestowed upon us by our visionary leadership to manage the contractual, legal, and financial aspects of procurement for the Ministry of Defense, Abu Dhabi police, and security agencies,” stated Al Meraikhi, capping the 18th Dubai Airshow in 2023.
