The agents say that the number of people applying for visit visas reaches 20 a day as many visitors are applying for the three-month visit visa to the UAE.
The three-month visa was discontinued during the pandemic, and a 60-day visa was introduced to fill the gap. However, in May, the three-month leisure was brought back.
Firoz Maliyakkal, founder and CEO of Tahira Tours and Travel LLC, said, “There are three types of single – entry visas:30, 60, and 90.”
Pavan Poojari, the visa consultant at Luxury Travels, listed out the types of visitors who are applying for the longer-term visa, saying,
“These are tourists who would like to spend an extended vacation in the UAE; parents and children of the UAE residents; their extended family members, and visitors who would like to navigate the country and then settle down for good.”
Moreover, many families and travel experts believe exploring and living in the UAE for a month or two is too short. Hence, the
a 90-day leisure visa has come as a relief to those who want to stay in the country for a longer period.
Eligibility:
According to experts, the three-month visas cover two categories: “One is a resident sponsoring immediate family members and friends by keeping a deposit of Dh1,000, ” in which the minimum salary of Dh6,000 to Dh8,000 is required, according to Firoz.
The second category is open to anyone through a travel agent who will be their sponsor. In this category, the requirement is just a passport copy and photos.
Cost:
For the first category of visas, the cost is around Dh800, with a refundable deposit of Dh1,000. Those who are interested can apply through the official immigration websites.
As per Firoz, in the second category, people can apply through their travel agent at a cost amounting from Dh1,200 to Dh1,400.
Besides, experts say that the 90-day visa has become a boon to people who need help to exit the country for a visa extension.
