According to the Khaleej Times, once air taxis are operational in UAE airspace, a trip from Dubai to Abu Dhabi could take as little as 10 to 20 minutes, and the fare would be between Dh800 and Dh1,500.
On Thursday, a senior representative of the air taxi firm Archer Aviation provided an explanation of the service’s operation within the nation. According to a recent Khaleej Times report, a passenger using the futuristic ride to travel from point A to point B in Dubai may have to pay roughly Dh350.
According to Archer Aviation’s chief commercial officer, Nikhil Goel, commuters would pay between Dh800 and Dh1,500 for such trips within cities, but between Dh300 and Dh350 for trips between emirates.
Goel emphasised the convenience, stating that the 60–90 minute drive from Dubai to Abu Dhabi could be completed in as little as 10–20 minutes with air taxis.
According to Goel, the very wealthy could also reserve private air taxis and enjoy first-rate service.
The official further stated that the company may be prepared to introduce its air taxis by the end of 2025, as certification is currently nearing completion.
“Within the next 18 to 24 months, you are going to see passengers here in the UAE flying on our aircraft from one point to another,” Goel stated.
Abu Dhabi gave multimillion dollar investments to Archer Aviation in April so that the company could produce its Midnight aircraft and set up shop internationally in the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The funds were also intended to hasten Archer’s introduction of commercial air taxi services in the United Arab Emirates and build vertiports in strategic areas of Abu Dhabi.
