Sheikh Sultan Observes Shurooq and SAIT Sign an Agreement.

The Honorable The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Canada and the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) was signed on Tuesday in front of Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah. The agreement aims to collaborate on establishing an institute for hospitality and tourism at the American University of Sharjah’s headquarters.

Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, the Chairperson of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), and Mark Butler, the Vice President of the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Canada, signed the Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of Shurooq and SAIT, respectively.

In addition to providing thorough assessments of the needs of the current educational and training facilities and services in Sharjah within the hospitality and tourism sectors, it offers the institutional development of the Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, which is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2026.
