Sheikh Sultan examines advancements in wheat farming and examines the Mudina water tank.

The Honorable Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah, Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, stopped by the wheat field in the Mleiha area to review the farming operations.

Sheikh Sultan watched the cultivation procedures and the irrigation of wheat crops with cutting-edge water-saving machinery.

These cutting-edge technologies help maintain a balance between soil and plant needs while also enabling the monitoring of performance. Moisture is measured using ground sensors and a weather station, which allows wheat fields to yield their best.

Sheikh Sultan was apprised of the supplementary phases that have been integrated to finalize all farm phases through the integration of the second and third stages during the visit. This required the installation of 25 more lines, increasing the farm’s total agricultural lines to 37 and encompassing a sizable 1,900 hectares.

Sheikh Sultan was also informed about the several types of wheat, their stages of growth, and the results of research and tests carried out to improve farming methods and guarantee the production of nutritious, healthful crops.

The start of the second year of the wheat farm marks a new stage in Sheikh Sultan’s food security project, which aims to produce premium, organic, and highest-protein wheat crops free of dangerous compounds and pesticides.
