The Honorable The head of the pediatric and adult cardiac surgery department at Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Ohio, US, Dr. Hani Najm from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, was named the recipient of the Arab Great Minds award in the medical field. Sheikh Mohammed’s Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president, prime minister, and ruler of Dubai, made the announcement.
“Today we announce the first recipient of the Arab Great Minds Award in the field of medicine, Dr. Hani Najm from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who serves as the head of the adult and pediatric cardiac surgery department at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in the United States,” sheikh Mohammed continued. After performing 10,000 heart surgeries, Dr. Najm created remarkable and cutting-edge surgical techniques.
