Sheikh Meshal of Kuwait Makes His First Formal Visit to Saudi Arabia as an Emir.

Riyadh: On a state visit to the Kingdom on Tuesday, Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah touched down in Riyadh.

At an official welcoming ceremony held at the Saudi Royal Court in the capital, he was greeted by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Greeting the emir to the Kingdom, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote a statement on social media site X, calling it his “second home.”

Later, the two leaders discussed the close ties between their nations as the emir was hosted by King Salman at the Erqa Royal Palace. Additionally, the emir received the Order of King Abdulaziz.

The emir and the crown prince of the Kingdom also had a discussion session in which they reviewed their bilateral relations and talked about ways to advance them in several areas. There was also discussion of recent regional and global developments.

After Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah passed away in December, Sheikh Meshal assumed the throne.
