At a ceremony held by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy on Thursday at the Museum of the Future in Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, honored the winners of the App Olympics.
Speaking at the event, Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has directed Dubai’s vision and directives, which have laid the groundwork for the city’s ongoing development and prosperity.
The App Olympics are a component of Sheikh Hamdan’s “Create Apps in Dubai” project, which was introduced in March 2023 and aims to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global leader in digital technologies and the intelligent applications market. Out of the 1,100 proposals received, 12 ideas were chosen to advance to the next round of the competition.
Sheikh Hamdan gave the go-ahead to start the App Olympics on a global scale, increasing the chance for creative thinkers and app developers worldwide to participate in the next competition.
