Sharjah: Following the Rains, life is Gradually Returning to Normal

The Sharjah emirate is gradually recovering more than a week after the unusually heavy rain and ensuing flooding. All of the emirate’s roadways, which had been closed due to the intense rains, were reopened, according to confirmation provided by the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team on Wednesday.

A brief drive around Sharjah revealed that the majority of the city had been fully drained of water, however there were a few minor puddles on the side of the road. To facilitate better traffic flow, a portion of the road near Corniche Street has been lifted using gravel and sand.

I live close to the Mega Mall, and that day when I left to go to work, there was water up to my waist,” S.K. stated. After navigating through it, I got to work. The water had already entered every pump by that point. Although it had a lot of water, our store was not severely damaged. Thus, we chose not to launch the store. We have officially opened for business today. The fact that things are returning to normal relieves me.
