Sharjah Digital Department Sets Regional Benchmark With Circularo Award for Digital Transformation
Sharjah, 26 March 2025: In a milestone that underscores Sharjah’s leadership in innovation and digital sustainability, the Government of Sharjah, represented by the Sharjah Digital Department, received the Circularo Award for Digital Transformation in Information Technology for its excellence in implementing e-signature and digital certification services within the Sharjah Government Data Centre. His Excellency Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of SDD, received the award.
The Sharjah Government was selected for this prestigious award from among several regional governments in recognition of its leadership in adopting the Circularo approach to shared services. By optimising infrastructure and technical resources, Sharjah Digital Department has delivered a pioneering model for impactful and sustainable digital transformation at the government level.
Through its innovative design and delivery of shared central digital services, SDD has set a new benchmark for smart, secure, and user-centric government operations, reinforcing Sharjah’s position as a regional leader in digital excellence.
HE Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi expressed his pride in receiving this recognition, stating that the award reflects the department’s pivotal role in enabling innovation and building an integrated, sustainable digital ecosystem. He highlighted the importance of adopting smart and secure digital solutions that support high-quality services tailored to the needs of local government entities, enhance operational efficiency, and reduce environmental impact, in line with Sharjah’s digital transformation strategy.
HE further affirmed that the department is steadily advancing toward embedding the concept of responsible digital transformation—an approach that goes beyond procedural acceleration to include the creation of a sustainable digital future that benefits society. He added: “We believe that true digital transformation is one that places people and the environment at its core while striking a balance between technological progress and sustainability, enhancing quality of life and safeguarding resources for future generations.”
He explained that the digital signature and authentication services implemented by Sharjah Digital Department via the advanced Circularo platform offer a practical example of responsible digital transformation. These services have reduced dependence on paper-based processes, streamlined document authentication, and delivered measurable savings in resource use and energy consumption.

دائرة الشارقة الرقمية تنال جائزة “سيركولارو” للتحوُّل الرقمي في تكنولوجيا المعلومات
الشارقة، 26 مارس 2025: في إنجاز جديد يعكس ريادة إمارة الشارقة في مجاليّ الابتكار والاستدامة الرقمية، حصدت حكومة الشارقة، ممثَّلة بدائرة الشارقة الرقمية، جائزة “سيركولارو” للتحوُّل الرقمي في تكنولوجيا المعلومات، اعترافاً بتميُّزها في تطبيق خدمات التوقيع الإلكتروني والتصديق الرقمي ضمن مركز بيانات حكومة الشارقة. وتسلّم درع الجائزة سعادة الشيخ سعود بن سلطان القاسمي، مدير عام الدائرة.
وجاء اختيار حكومة الشارقة لنيل هذه الجائزة المرموقة من بين عدد من الحكومات في المنطقة، تقديراً لريادتها في تطبيق نهج سيركولارو للخدمات المشتركة. وعبر توظيف البنية التحتية والموارد التقنية بكفاءة عالية، قدّمت دائرة الشارقة الرقمية نموذجاً رائداً في تحقيق تحوُّل رقمي مؤثر ومستدام على مستوى حكومة الإمارة.
وقد أرست الدائرة من خلال منهجيتها المبتكرة في تصميم وتقديم الخدمات الرقمية المركزية المشتركة معياراً جديداً للعمليات الحكومية الذكية والآمنة وسهلة الاستخدام، مؤكدةً بذلك مكانة الشارقة الرّيادية في التميّز الرقمي إقليمياً.
وأعرب سعادة الشيخ سعود بن سلطان القاسمي عن فخره بهذا التكريم، مشيراً إلى أن الجائزة تجسّد الدور المحوري الذي تلعبه الدائرة في تمكين الابتكار وبناء منظومة رقمية متكاملة ومستدامة من خلال تبنّي حلول رقمية ذكية وآمنة تدعم تقديم خدمات رقمية عالية الجودة تلبّي احتياجات الجهات الحكومية المحلية، وتسهم في تعزيز كفاءة الأداء الحكومي وتقليل الأثر البيئي، انسجاماً مع أهداف استراتيجية التحوُّل الرقمي لإمارة الشارقة.
وأكد سعادته أن الدائرة تمضي بخطى واثقة نحو ترسيخ مفهوم “التحوُّل الرقمي المسؤول” الذي لا يقتصر على تسريع الإجراءات وحسب، بل يمتد ليشمل بناء مستقبل رقمي مستدام يخدم الإنسان والمجتمع، مضيفاً: “نؤمن بأن التحوُّل الرقمي الحقيقي هو الذي يضع الإنسان والبيئة في صميم أولوياته، ويحقّق التوازن بين الابتكار التكنولوجي والاستدامة، بما يسهم في رفع جودة الحياة ويضمن استدامة الموارد للأجيال القادمة.”
وأوضح أن خدمات التوقيع والمصادقة الرقمية التي طبّقتها دائرة الشارقة الرقمية عبر منصة سيركولارو المتطورة تُعَدُّ نموذجاً عملياً لهذا التوجُّه، حيث أسهمت في تقليص الاعتماد على المعاملات الورقية، وتبسيط عملية المصادقة على الوثائق، وتحقيق وفورات ملموسة في استهلاك الموارد والطاقة.
وبرؤية طموحة نحو “إبداع رقمي محوره الإنسان”، تواصل دائرة الشارقة الرقمية قيادة التحوُّل الرقميّ في الإمارة من خلال تصميم حلول استباقية ترتكز على التقنيات الحديثة والبيانات؛ لتطوير الخدمات وتعزيز حياة الأفراد.
