GAZA: Russians emergency ministry reported early on Saturday that 105 Russian citizens who had been evacuated from Gaza were returned home to Moscow via special aircraft. This was the second such flight in as many days.
The ministry claimed in a Telegram message that the group, which included 55 minors, took a chartered Ilyushin-76 aircraft home. One day earlier, a similar flight arrived and took 101 Russian citizens home.
Over 760 evacuees, including over 360 children, have been returned to Russia, according to the most recent ministry report.
A cease-fire deal in Gaza that will take effect on Friday was welcomed by the Kremlin on Wednesday as the “first good news for a long time” in the Israel-Palestinian conflict. It claimed that the only way to advance efforts toward a viable settlement was through humanitarian pauses.
