Russia Apprehends Shooters at Concert Halls as the Dead toll Approaches 143.

The Kremlin announced on Saturday that 11 persons, including four suspected gunman, had been detained by Russia in relation to a shooting spree that left at least 143 people dead in a concert hall outside of Moscow.

As several parliamentarians suggested a potential connection between the attack and Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet made any public comments on the incident. He has not addressed Daesh’s claim of responsibility.

The worst deadly attack to hit Russia in 20 years, on Friday, was attributed to the militant organization Daesh. Mykhailo Podolyak, the assistant to the Ukrainian president, claimed that Kyiv had nothing to do with the connection, but there were signs that Russia was looking into it.

“All four terrorists” were apprehended on route to the Ukrainian border, according to the FSB security service, which also claimed that they had contacts in the country. They were reportedly being moved to Moscow.

The worst incident in Russia in at least ten years began on Friday evening when camouflaged gunmen opened fire at the crowded Crocus City Hall in the northern neighborhood of Krasnogorsk, Moscow, ahead of a concert by Soviet-era rock band Piknik.
