Over 100 Gaza evacuees are scheduled to arrive in Turkey.

ANNKA: A foreign ministry source and Turkiye’s health minister confirmed that over 100 Gaza evacuees, including numerous individuals receiving medical care, are expected to arrive in Turkiye on Monday.

Sixty-one patients, together with about forty-nine family members, landed in Egypt from Gaza on Sunday night. According to Health Minister Fahrettin Koca, the patients spent the night at Al Arish hospital before taking a Monday morning flight to Ankara.

As recently as last week, he stated that Ankara aimed to transfer as many of the approximately one thousand cancer patients from Gaza to Turkiye. Last Thursday, the first 27 patients arrived in Ankara.
In a related development, an 87-person group comprising Turks, Turkish Cypriots, and their families arrived in Egypt from Gaza on Sunday and was scheduled to depart for Istanbul on Monday night, according to a source in the foreign ministry.

According to media reports, 44 Turks who had journeyed from Gaza to Egypt over the weekend landed in Istanbul on Sunday.
The source from the foreign ministry added that Turkiye aimed to remove about 100 more people from Gaza on Monday, provided ground conditions allowed.
