Over 1.2m people Visited Louvre Museum Abu Dhabi in 2023

More than 1.2 million people visited Louvre Abu Dhabi in 2023 due to a number of events, such as notable exhibitions that improved the museum’s permanent collection, higher attendance at the Children’s Museum, and record-breaking participation in the institution’s educational initiatives.

Seventy-two percent of foot traffic was from outside the UK, primarily from major emerging markets such as Kazakhstan, Russia, India, France, the USA, China, Germany, Italy, and the UK.

The remaining 28% of guests were UAE nationals.

More than 500 dignitaries and officials, including heads of state, ministers, ambassadors, internationally acclaimed artists, and well-known celebrities, also paid visits to the museum. On March 19, 2024, the museum celebrated reaching a significant milestone: five million visitors since its opening. This confirms the institution’s position as a globally important cultural landmark.
