Narendra Modi, the prime minister of India, calls the president of the UAE

In a phone conversation on Friday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan talked about recent events in the Middle East, namely the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip and its effects on the area.

Leaders talked about what’s going on in the area, especially the growing situation in Gaza.

Together, His Highness and the Indian Prime Minister spoke about the critical need for swift diplomatic action to forge a clear path toward a comprehensive, just, and long-lasting peace, protecting the stability, security, and tranquility of the larger region and halting the escalation of conflicts and violence.

His Highness stressed the importance of stepping up measures to stem the deterioration of the humanitarian situation for Gaza’s population while safeguarding their lives. Furthermore, he emphasized the necessity of making sure aid arrives quickly and allowing humanitarian organizations to carry out their responsibilities in this area.

The UAE-India cooperation that serves mutual interests and helps to promote comprehensive and sustainable development in both countries was also discussed by His Highness and the Indian Prime Minister during the call.
