MoUs and Agreements are Exchanged Between the Presidents of the UAE and China.

The President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness The People’s Republic of China’s President, Xi Jinping, and Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended a ceremony on Thursday to announce, exchange, and sign a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) covering a variety of cooperation areas between the UAE and the People’s Republic of China.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan; the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail Bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei; the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Dr. Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Jaber; the Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi; the Chairman of the National Media Office, Sheikh Abdulla Bin Mohammed Bin Butti Al Hamed; and Hussain  Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Ambassador of the UAE to the People’s Republic of China, while concerned officials from the Chinese side signed the agreements.

The following are the agreements and memorandums of understanding:

• Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperative Development of the Belt and Road Initiative

• Agreement to Form the China-United Arab Emirates High-Level Investment Cooperation Committee

• Memorandum of Understanding on Collaboration between the National Radio and Television Administration of China and the UAE Media Council

• Memorandum of Understanding between China Media Group and UAE National Media Office

• The China-UAE Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement on Nuclear Energy’s Peaceful Applications

• Memorandum on Recognition of Competency Certificates for Seafarers

• Collaboration Arrangement in Science and Technology

• Memorandum of Understanding on Industry and Technology Cooperation

• Cooperation Memorandum on Intellectual Property

• Memorandum on Understanding in the Travel Industry
