The UAE and Iran convened the tenth meeting of the Joint Consular Committee in Abu Dhabi to better serve their citizens and advance their overall cooperation in consular matters.
The meeting was presided over by Alireza Bikdeli, acting deputy minister for consular, parliamentary, and Iranian expatriates affairs, representing Iran, and Khalid Abdullah Belhoul, undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for the Emirati side. During the meeting, the two sides discussed plans for their future development, various common consular issues, and enhancing cooperation in consular affairs.
Belhoul emphasised that in order to advance and fortify the two nations’ bilateral ties and improve the security, stability, and prosperity of the region, the UAE is prepared to intensify its cooperation in all spheres, including trade and the economy.
In addition to highlighting the UAE leadership’s dedication to constructive dialogue and cooperation, he emphasised the significance of forging strong ties with neighbouring nations in order to promote peace, stability, development, and prosperity for all.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, then sent Belhoul his greetings and expressed gratitude for the improvements in the two nations’ relations.
