Meet the Sharjah Brothers who, amid Record-Breaking Rain, Saved almost 200 People and 80 Cars.

It is nothing new for brothers Affan and Suleiman Tanvir to go on rescue missions. Using their vast experience in rescuing people from desert environments, they have been Sharjah conducting rescue operations for the past four years. They applied their expertise right away on April 16 when the UAE saw record-breaking rain.

On April 16, they set out on their most recent trip at eight in the morning, traveling to Dubai Airport to pick up friends whose flights had been canceled. On April 16, there was some overnight and morning rain, and several places had flooded roadways. We pulled numerous automobiles, trucks, and minivans from the flooded roadways while we were traveling.

All of this was made possible by their devoted partner, an off-roading SUV that is a customized Nissan Patrol Safari that has been enabling them to take on a variety of difficult jobs. “Our car has been adjusted and changed to meet a variety of obstacles. According to Affan, it can navigate through water and rescue people thanks to its power and altered ground clearance.
