We recently had the opportunity to interview Manzoor Ahmed, Director and CEO of Mindful Automations, an emerging name in RPA solutions. An Automation expert, Manzoor Ahmed, has garnered over 15 years of expertise in the software industry while being adept at RPA, AI, and Machine Learning.

On Being An Exceptional Leader
We started the interview by asking, “Could you describe your career journey and the pivotal experiences that shaped your path to becoming a leader in your industry?”
Manzoor Ahmed shared, “I began my life in a company selling websites for $50, which offered me expertise in the Internet industry. In 2014, I launched an automation solution to address pain issues in the food and beverage industries, such as speeding up ordering and invoicing cycles, optimizing inventory, and providing a single view of control points to assist businesses in finding gaps. These experiences with a restaurant product enabled me to make valuable market connections and gain a thorough understanding of the surrounding businesses.
The primary component I followed in my business journey was to learn from clients and provide customers with a solution that genuinely meets their purpose and is not a gimmicky product, and this paved my route to construct Mindful automation. Today, mindful automation is the most widely recognized automation solution in India, and we are expanding into other markets. Our statistics show that if we provide 100 demos, approximately 60 customers buy our solution, even if they are utilizing other competitors’ products.”

Eager to learn how Manzoor Ahmed adapts his business strategies aligning with the challenges, we asked, “As your company has grown and faced various challenges, how has your original vision evolved to meet these changes?”
Manzoor Ahmed shared, “Our original vision was developed and refined throughout time based on customer input and adherence to our fundamental values of providing appropriate and acceptable solutions to our clients. We have informed consumers that they do not require an automation solution or artificial intelligence enhancements and should instead opt for software or simple Excel solutions. This transparency help us to stay honest with our prospects and than aligning to our vision
Potential Trends Of The Future
To learn more about Manzoor Ahmed’s perspective on emerging trends and developments in the industry, we asked, “Looking at the horizon, which emerging trend do you believe is undervalued but will significantly impact your industry in the next few years?”
Manzoor Ahmed shared, “I believe most RPA trends mention the name AI, and I believe that many of these capabilities will provide little ROI to the client in terms of value or automation. Companies should focus on providing appropriate solutions to clients rather than confounding them with terminology.
Today, we are pleased that we make appropriate commitments to our clients and keep them. So, the response is that until we follow the objective of providing the proper solution to our clients with our products, I don’t consider any existing upcoming solution trends as difficulties.”

We further asked, “Was there a specific moment when you identified an unmet need in the market that inspired you to start your venture? How did you turn that idea into reality?”
“I am the type of guy who constantly looks for gaps in the business in terms of problems, price, and ROI. It was as if I were developing a system for CCTV cameras to perform video analysis. Then I intended to automate and extract various files from DVRs, but when I approached competitors, I learned that these solutions are expensive and do not provide a return on investment to clients.
That’s where I turned this problem into an opportunity, and it was simply an idea on the fly. Customers helped me construct this product, which is why I refer to it as a genuine problem solver. During this trip, we solved the most difficult process automation that our competitors couldn’t.” Manzoor replied.
Monitoring Market Trends The Right Way
We were curious to learn more about the approaches adopted by Manzoor Ahmed in strategic planning for his business. So, we asked, “In the transforming environment of your industry, how do you assess when it’s time to pivot your strategy versus when to stay the course?”
Manzoor Ahmed responded, “In any industry, adapting to change is vital for success. To determine whether to pivot or stay the course in a transforming environment, it’s crucial to monitor market trends, customer feedback, and internal capabilities. Keep an eye on emerging opportunities and threats, such as shifts in consumer preferences or technological advancements
Regularly assess customer feedback to identify changing needs and preferences. Evaluate your organization’s strengths and weaknesses to ensure you have the resources to execute any strategic shift effectively. However, staying the course can be wise if your current strategy aligns with long-term goals and yields positive results. Maintain a clear vision and strategic focus to avoid diluting efforts. By balancing flexibility with strategic alignment, organizations can navigate industry transformations and position themselves for sustainable success.”

“We differentiate our products based on technology, a mix of product offerings to solve 360 degrees of automation solution, cost effective , infrastructure simplicity, and onboarding simplicity. Still, the most important factor that distinguishes our solution is the ability to deliver an automation solution in less than 21 days without the need for RPA developers or Python developers.” He replied.

Sustainability and social responsibility are critical in the current business world. We asked, “How have you integrated these principles into the fabric of your company, and why do you think it’s essential for your sector?”
Manzoor Ahmed replied, “We are already a profitable and self-sustaining firm, intending to increase our profits by 100 times. We are currently focused on the responsibilities of making our conscious automation family a self-sustaining model so that even if they leave their employment after 6 years, they will not have to worry about family responsibilities. On social responsibilities, we hire people from tier 2 or tier 3 cities and provide them with intensive training, making their lives easier.”

“Nobody can forecast the future, but we have made it a point to prepare for and detect future hazards, and we are always improving our products and services to stay up with the trends. However, getting back to my objective of providing easy ROI and scalable solutions to our clients is taking care of our risks for the future.” Manzoor concluded.
