Eid al-Fitr is celebrated in the United Arab Emirates starting Wednesday, April 10. Festive decorations adorn streets, parks, shops, markets, and residences.
Muslims come together for the celebration of breaking the fast, which starts with congregational prayers to give thanks and praise to God. Warm greetings of Eid Mubarak are then exchanged, and celebrations, including family get-togethers, friend get-togethers, and food sharing, ensue. Muslims fast for an entire month.
Once again, open-air musallahs are crowded with devout worshippers, and both Muslims and non-Muslims experience the inherently vibrant energy of Eid.
The majority of the population gladly utilizes the extended weekends to rest, rejuvenate, rejoice, or set off on thrilling trips to different locations both inside and beyond the United Arab Emirates, contributing to the joyous mood.
This Eid, when families usually exchange presents and share their blessings with the less fortunate, further emphasizes the spirit of giving and compassion.
There will be nonstop festivities throughout the next few days, along with live music, spectacular presentations, traditional dance performances, and activities. Above all, however, there will be ongoing prayers and sincere wishes for happiness, health, and success throughout Eid and the rest of the year, highlighting the significant religious significance of this period.
