Key Dubai neighborhoods will be connected by the Blue Line with 14 stations.

The Honorable In keeping with the projected growth of approximately one million residents outlined in the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, and Ruler of Key Dubai, has approved the Dubai Metro Blue Line project. This new 30 km metro route will strategically link key areas in the emirate through 14 stations.

First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, officially opened the Dubai Metro Blue Line project at Dubai Creek Harbour on Friday.

According to Sheikh Maktoum, Dubai is still dedicated to executing top-notch projects that not only improve the city’s reputation internationally but also confirm its leadership in creating top-notch infrastructure that supports the emirate’s sustainable development objectives. These projects are carried out under the vision and guidance of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Sheikh Maktoum stated, “We are committed to sustaining Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid’s vision, which aims to solidify Dubai’s standing as the greatest city in the world to live in.

 

The Dubai Metro Blue Line, which will join the current Red and Green Lines of the Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram, and Dubai Metro Route 2020, is the sixth significant initiative in the field of public transportation. It is among the most significant strategic initiatives in the transportation.
