The Israeli army detains Palestinian activist Ahed Tamimi was detained on Monday during a raid in the West Bank on suspicion of “inciting terrorism.”
A video of the well-known 22-year-old Palestinian activist kicking two Israeli soldiers in her hometown of Nabi Saleh went viral on Facebook after the soldiers captured her younger brother. The activist was first arrested in 2017 and charged with aggravated assault along with 11 other offenses when she was just 16 years old.
Ahed Tamimi, a Palestinian activist, was detained on Monday during a raid in the West Bank on suspicion of “inciting terrorism.”
An army spokesman confirmed to AFP that Ahed Tamimi was taken into custody on charges of inciting unrest and terrorist activity in the town of Nabi Salih, which is close to Ramallah.
“Tamimi was turned over to the Israeli security services to be questioned further.”
