India: Revised Results and Ranks for NEET-UG 2024

The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the revised National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) 2024 results and rankings on Friday. According to the revised results, 13,15,853 candidates passed the NEET-UG 2024 exam in total.

The NEET-UG 2024 exam, which took place on May 5, 2024, between 2 and 5.20 p.m. at 4,750 different centres in 571 cities across the nation, attracted over 24 lakh participants. Fourteen cities outside of India were also included.

The National Testing Agency conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) for over 24 lakh candidates at 4750 different centres located in 571 cities across the nation, including 14 cities outside of India, on May 5, 2024 (Sunday), from 2:00 PM to 05:20 PM (IST), according to an official release from the NTA.

In addition, 1563 candidates who lost time during the first scheduled exam on May 5, 2024, took the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (Undergraduate) [NEET (UG)]—2024 again on June 23, 2024.

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Under Graduate (NEET-UG) 2024 exam was held on May 5, but the Supreme Court refused to cancel it on July 23. The court reasoned that there was no systemic breach in the exam, which led to the revision of the results.

A bench that included Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra stated that, as of right now, there isn’t enough evidence in the file to conclude that the exam’s outcome was tainted or that there was a systematic violation.
