In the First Half of 2024, Dubai Mall Records 57 Million Visitors

The Dubai Mall, which was named the Most Visited Place on Earth in 2023, has continued to grow in 2024, with 57 million visitors in the first half of the year compared to 52 million in 2023. Similar growth has been seen in the performance of different categories, with retail sales growth ranging from 8% to 15% over the same period last year.

Mohamed Alabbar, the founder of Emaar, remarked on these outcomes, saying: “This growth reflects the hard work and dedication of our team and partners.” Dubai Mall attracts millions of visitors annually and keeps setting new standards in leisure and retail. To maintain the mall’s standing as a top international destination, we are dedicated to improving every aspect of it. As Dubai Mall continues to be a worldwide icon of shopping and entertainment, consistently providing cutting-edge experiences, the momentum will continue in 2024.

Emaar Properties announced in June that Dubai Mall will undergo a massive expansion that will include 240 new luxury stores and food and beverage establishments. The contractor is currently mobilizing on-site, and this project entails a Dhs 1.5 billion investment.

According to data released by the mall in March, Dubai Mall saw a record 105 million visitors in 2023—a jump of more than 19% from the 88 million visitors the year before.
