In Dubai Duty Free Draw, an Indian Expat Wins $1 Million.

Following the prize presentation ceremony of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships Men’s final on Saturday, an Indian national residing in Abu Dhabi won $1 million in the most recent Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw.

Ugo Humbert, the French No. 5 tennis player and tournament champion who defeated Alexander Bublik in the finals to win his first Dubai title, drew the winning ticket.

With ticket 0971, which he purchased online on February 21st, 60-year-old Indian national Sunil Nayyar of Abu Dhabi became the most recent dollar millionaire in Millennium Millionaire Series 452.

Nayyar, a father of one who has lived in Abu Dhabi for 39 years, has frequently participated in Dubai Duty-Free’s advertising for 15 years. He works as a senior consultant for an insurance company.

“Thank you, Dubai Duty-Free,” Nayyar stated in response to his victory. I’ve been purchasing tickets for your offer for a while now, and I never give up hope that I will eventually win. At last, it did!

“It will go to my son’s education as he is currently taking up his degree in aerospace in the UK and, of course, saving up for my retirement soon,” he responded when questioned about his immediate plans with his winnings.
