How the Authorities in Dubai Intervened to Save the Triplets from Syrian Refugee Camps

While strolling through one of Dubai Airport’s transit halls, a senior GDRFA officer saw a mother playing with her kids. General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, the Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA), was moved by their conversation, so he went up to the mother to learn more about her circumstances and decided to send them something.

She identified herself as a Syrian who was going back to live in camps in Jordan. The authorities learned she was expecting a child and would soon give birth after speaking with her further. The mother also disclosed that she lived in Abu Dhabi with her sister.

The GDRFA was eager to help and contacted her husband to find out how they could support her. Ultimately, they arranged for the expectant woman to enter the United Arab Emirates and meet up with her sister.

The GDRFA chief disclosed that, after 45 days, they got a touching note from the couple and a photo of their newborn triplets.

This is just one of the inspiring tales that best illustrates the kindness seen at Dubai Airports.
